Polarization Helps You Look Through the Glare

When sunlight hits the water, a portion of that light reflects toward your eyes as glare.

That reflected glare can make the surface appear bright and washed out, making it more difficult to see what is underneath.

Polarized lenses are designed to reduce much of that reflected glare.

The result can be a clearer view into the water, depending on conditions such as water clarity, sun angle, weather, depth and the position of the sun relative to you.

For an angler, that can help reveal details such as:

Hook Optics offers multiple premium polarized lens technologies developed for different conditions and different wearers.

Our Hydroo lenses by ZEISS, available in our Made is USA collection, combine premium polarization with high optical clarity and coatings designed for demanding environments. Hydrophobic and oleophobic properties help resist water, oils and smudges, while backside anti-reflective treatment helps reduce distracting reflections reaching the eye.

Other Hook Optics lens options are engineered around characteristics including impact resistance, infrared reduction, scratch resistance, polarization and the exceptional optical clarity available from premium mineral glass.
